ギター録り翌日1月24日にベース残り3曲と、歌も3曲。今回は前回のベース録音で使わなかったRoyal Bigpower Bassman（魔改造済み）も使いました（アルバムの一番長い曲で使用）。PearlのOctaverがまたしても便利で、Lowをさらに足して存在感を増したり。なんとなくそういう低音の稼ぎ方ってやっちゃダメなのかななんて思ってたんだけれども、もちろんそんなことなくて、面白くなって存在感が出るならそれでいいじゃないか、という考え方。順調に3曲録り終わり、ちょっと歌も進めようということで3曲録りました。下の写真で一番最後に乗っている、ヘッドフォンの片耳だけをぶら下げたようなものは、イギリスの国営放送局BBCが開発したマイク（調べたらCOLES 4038とリボンマイクらしい）。とっても柔らかい耳あたりの良い音で、ラジオで語りかけるMCの声のように録れました。これはアルバム1曲目を予定している曲で使用しました。さて、ベースは完パケ、歌も残す所2曲。つぎは加藤ギター録音（残5曲）に続きます。
Next day after I did guitar session, we had bass tracking for the rest of the songs (3 more) and did 3 vocal recordings. Royal Bigpower Bassman (MOD) tube amp head (which no-one should actually know so much about) that we didn’t use in the previous session sounded beautifully, and was used for the longest song in the album. Used Pearl Octave to gain some more subs, and the 3 song tracking ended quickly. Since we had a bit more time, we continued with vocal recording for 3 songs. The microphone shown last below, which looks like a black headphone hanging, is a ribbon mic that was developed by BBC. It was used to track the opening song of this album and sounded really nice and soft. Just like an MC talking gently in the radio. Bass tracking completed, 2 more for the vocals and next session will be with Tatsuro recording the guitar on 5 songs.
